A good number of people seem to be under the impression that the half moon or dare I say the grapes are the late night options for Oxford. Think again, the fir tree, though it is farther out, has a much better atmosphere and is far nicer. The go to late night spot for a couple of last drinks. friendly service.

Unfortunately I popped in just before closing but will revisit this beautiful, traditional and quirky pub again. I haven't been here in over 40yrs. It's still as warm as cosy as I remember it all those years ago. They don't have a full menu anymore but boasts a selection of homemade pizza. Looking forward to coming back soon
