During my few weeks in Oslo, I hiked to this beautiful spot at least three times a week. The hiking trails leading up to the lake are lovely, and on sunny days the lake itself is simply breathtaking. There’s a cycling and running trail around the lake, and I often saw families enjoying picnics, BBQs, camping, and swimming. How I wish we had a place like this in Kathmandu.

Flott område og enkelt å ta seg dit. Fine badeplasser og gode muligheter til både telting og hengekøye. Det eneste som trekker ned er søppelmengden - til trass for at det finnes søppelstasjoner mange steder virker det som at mange ikke bryr seg.

Ganske stort vann inne i Lillomarka. Man kan parkere på en stor parkeringsplass rett nedenfor den lille dammen, kaldt Grorudammen. Derfra er det bare ca 5 minutter gange så er man oppe på Steinbruvann. Det er gode bademuligheter i alle ender av vannet. Går man lengre innover så får man være litt mer for seg selv hvis man ønsker det.
