About

The Golden Duke Cinema became one of the last projects of the Soviet Union and was opened at the end of 1993. A declining passion for movies almost destroyed the building, leading it to be temporarily leased to other clubs. However, by 2002, the city authorities decided to restore the building to its original purpose. With this aim, a renovation was conducted, and as a result, the largest three-hall cinema of the time was opened in Odessa. Soon after, two more halls were added, and today, the cinema boasts six modern cinema halls, one of which is designed for viewing 3D movies, and another is a VIP hall.
