Fragment ruin miejskich z czasów greckich - prawdopodobnie pochodzą z III wieku p.n.e. Podobne ruiny znajdują się w Neapolu przy Piazza Vincenzo Bellini. Jak na ważne pozostałości archeologiczne miejsce jest nieoznaczone. Jakby nie metalowe ogrodzenie ochronne można było je łatwo pominąć.

Probabilmente sono resti di un'antica porta difensiva (la porta Herculanensis, detta in seguito anche porta Furcillensis per via del bivio stradale, la furcilla, che si diramava dalla porta (e che ha dato poi il nome al quartiere di Forcella).
