Le parc se situe à l'écart du centre de Munich, mais il mérite de s'y rendre. Il s'agit d'un espace très calme et serein. Les très nombreux canard se chargent de tondre le gazon. Près d'un lac ( le plus petit) se trouve différents pavillons construits en 1983 lors d'une exposition internationale. Ceux du Japon, de la Chine et surtout celui de la Thaïlande ( qui semble flotter sur l'eau ) sont toujours parfaitement entretenus. Il est possible dans ce parc d'amener son barbecue ! Du moins sur un côté. Les autorités ont même installer des poubelles pour recueillir les cendres. Le parc est adapté à tous.

Lange war ich nicht sehr begeistert vom Westpark, am Wochenende ist er bei warmen Wetter voll und laut, die Hauptwege sind teilweise eine regelrechte Fahrradautobahn, die vielen Wasservögel hinterlassen extrem viel Kot auf den Wiesen. Besucht man ihn aber zu Zeiten, zu denen sich nicht so viele Menschen dort herumtummeln, ist er traumhaft, teilweise verwunschen schön, mit vielen versteckten Bänken und Brunnen und ein kleines Naturparadies direkt am Mittleren Ring.

Ein ruhiger Platz im Westen der Stadt. Gut erreichbar. Hier kann man sich gut erholen.
