What a nice place to visit ! The Observatorio de Laguna Grande, located in Málaga’s Desembocadura del Guadalhorce Natural Park, is a must-visit spot for nature lovers, birdwatchers, and photographers alike. This wooden observation platform overlooks one of the park’s largest lagoons, offering fantastic views of both resident and migratory bird species throughout the year. The walk to the observatory is peaceful, surrounded by reeds, wildflowers, and the soft sounds of nature. Once at the platform, you’re rewarded with a panoramic view of calm waters where flamingos, herons, and ducks can often be seen, especially during migration seasons. The area is rich in biodiversity, making it an ideal place for quiet observation, nature photography, or simply enjoying the tranquility. Its easy access, combined with the beauty of the surrounding landscapes, makes the Observatorio de Laguna Grande a perfect stop for anyone seeking a different side of Málaga — one where wildlife and serenity take center stage.

Un lugar genial y sorprendentemente virgen a pesar de estar en un entorno urbano. Magnífico observatorio de aves e ideal para pasear con calma y disfrutando de la naturaleza en cualquier época del año.

Nice place for a walk. We went after sunset a day in July so the temperature was fine, but it didn't seem like there was a lot of shade so I don't know if it's a good idea to go in the middle of the day on warm days. We saw wild flamencos, which was super cool. Didn't see any trash and the paths were well maintained.
