Barok postanowił zamieszkać w samym sercu Lublina.. Wzniesiony w XVII wieku, początkowo dla rodu Lubomirskich, przeszedł w ręce Sieniawskich, a potem – przez małżeństwo – do słynnych Czartoryskich. Choć traktowali go raczej jak letnią rezydencję niż główną siedzibę, pałac zyskał splendor i styl, który do dziś przyciąga spojrzenia. Z krużgankami wmurowanymi w fasadę, portykiem nad wejściem i historią pełną zwrotów akcji (łącznie z fabryką tytoniu w XIX wieku!), budynek przetrwał wojny, zmiany właścicieli i czasy PRL-u. Dziś, stojąc przy Placu Litewskim, wygląda jak elegancki dżentelmen z minionej epoki – trochę tajemniczy, melancholijny, ale wciąż pełen klasy.
