Didn’t get that WOW feeling. We have been to many 1, 2, & 3 Michelin starred restaurants here and abroad(by the way I can’t afford it but it’s an addiction) and usually walk out thinking WOW what absolute beautiful food, artistry & service But not at Veeraswamy. The food was ok as was the service but not worthy of a Michelin star. My wife and I had the taster menu. The chicken tikka was dry and overcooked as was the chicken in the curry. The lobster and pineapple curry were very nice. Lamb was just a lamb curry. The curries were served in bowls with another restaurant’s name on the side of them! Maybe we should have gone there? Didn’t get to sit in opulent surroundings even though we were there for the first sitting? View out of the window was gaucho steak restaurant.should have gone there? All in all ok but NOT Michelin starred food or experience. £300 but £80 was four drinks & £40 service charge for fairly average food.
