Not many decent places along Upper Holloway, Spoke is great. Amazing coffee. Wish the prices were a tad lower.

I'll admit nthia was a hard review, the staff were generally ok except they didn't inform me that asking to have scrambled eggs on my £15 breakfast instead of the fried egg would cost me an extra £3.50 I will say it does mention on the menu that a side of scrambled eggs is £3.50 but as I already had egg on my cooked breakfast there wouldn't be a charge, the server should have made it clear before walking away that they didn't offer substitutions and there's be an additional charge. Unfortunately my food was at best average with a lack of flavour and definitely wasn't worth the £18.50 + service. My partner enjoyed her power shoulder sandwich and the coffee was ok but I wouldn't rush back. I've worked in hospitality for over twenty years now and communication is key, one additional worrying bthingbos we weren't asked about allergies which on this day and age is a big red flag to me.

The food is OK, chips and schnitzel was a bit oily and dry. Keep in mind that you're not welcome in this place if you have laptops. I had to be online for work, without actually working and safe to say I didn't feel welcome.
