Excited to have got a reservation having been to the Tamil Prince a couple of times which I love - the food was just as good and would recommend coming for that! However, the service we had just wasn’t up to the mark - we had already been warned that they try and rush you through (two other groups had experienced this previously) so we took our time ordering. We were told the table was needed back at 8.30 when we’d only reserved it at 7.15 - the email clearly stated we had it until 9. We then had multiple waitresses tell us they needed the table back, they cleared the table as we were opening presents which felt awkward and then put the bill down at 5 to 9 - no problems being asked to leave if the next table had arrived but they hadn’t and we might’ve had another beer or dessert but instead we were pushed out. Great food, terrible service - won’t be going back.

First visit to one of the Tamila family and head over heels! Started off with the much recommended Fried Baby corn and understood why - was deliciously crunchy! The tandoori chicken with the spicy South Indian twist was awesome and the paneer butter masala with the flaky rotis left our tummy and soul filled up. Service was excellent - polite, informed, efficient and good recommendations. The toilet was one of the most beautiful ones I’ve been to of late. There’s bit of outdoor seating but the inside seating is nice and quite a few covers. Coming back for more, soon

This plaaaaace, wow, every dish was cooked time perfection and the taste was second to none. Perfectly spiced, perfectly proportioned, beautiful presentation. We got: Baby corn Masala dosa Chilli cheese dosa Chicken curry Roti Mango lassi Desi spritz The total was £72 for 3 people, which may seem high, but this was an upmarket Sri Lankan restaurant with such attention to detail. Definitely worth a visit for a treat and a special lunch or dinner.
