I felt like I was back in Lagos, good malt, great tasting of food and selection, nice music and ambience and kind service. As an American visiting London and needing my kick of Nigerian food, this was very much worth it!

We were in Woolwich staying near this restaurant and decided to have lunch here. The jollof rice was super tasty and well seasoned with my preferred consistency. It was served with slices of cucumber and tomatoes, which we absolutely enjoyed. However, the meatpie we were served was the worst we have ever had. They were wet and soggy on the inside and soaked through to the bottom surfaces of their crusts. None of my children could eat them. One even got nauseous just from taking a bite. And meatpies are their favourite snacks. We thought they might have been microwaved! So Tamar's chef need to do better with their pastries! The server was non-committal when asked about any detail. He says it depends on the chef
