It’s become a bit of a tradition to swing by the St. John Bakery in Bermondsey for a vanilla custard doughnut and an almond croissant. Both are excellent — and somehow even better when it’s part of the ritual, especially with a stop at my favourite WatchHouse coffee shop just around the corner.
