Wanted to try out Gordon Ramsay's famous beef Wellington and Sticky date pudding so decided to give the Savoy a try. Service is what you expect of this type of venue with no complaints and decent atmosphere, problem is the food. Accounting for what you pay the food is subpar. The beef Wellington wasn't impressive at all and lacked flavour, there was sinew in the beef as well. The sticky date pudding for how ridiculously priced it was also was worse than a frozen one you can buy at the supermarket. The only thing that was tasty was the souffle starter. Definitely avoid this place as the food doesn't live up to the reputation.

We visited the Grill on a Saturday lunch time, and the ambience was surprisingly relaxed and quiet given the restaurant was quite busy. The wine selection was excellent as you would expect and the food fitting for the location. What made our experience a 5/5 was probably the waiter who had a professional but playful manner of engaging with us through our meal. We left with the Savoy having met the high standard you would expect of it.

Awesome from start to finish. Loved the setting, chic but not stuffy, staff warm and welcoming and very attentive, made you feel special. We dined on a prefix menu and it was amazing. Highly recommend.
