Nice place but £16 for a small burger and chips with no table service seems extortionate. Nothing special at all and wish I had gone to the local pub instead.

Bright, friendly. Good quality ingredients go into a short but wholesome menu.

I went for breakfast/brunch. The food is very overpriced, even for the area. The sausage, bacon, black pudding were decent. The homemade beans and rosti were not great, the breakfast was overall very oily with oddly huge chunks of fried bread. My fried eggs were overdone but tasted fine. My cappuccino was lukewarm and bland. The location and interior is nice. My table was small but fine. The service was fine and staff were friendly. I do think they should be a little more proactive with seating customers, bringing menus, clearing tables and bringing the bill but I had no major issues. Overall the food was not worth the price and lacking in flavour and quality ( in execution/recipe) generally. There are brunch places in the area for better value and cooking. The breakfast had multiple items (bread, rosti, beans) that didn’t taste great and were executed poorly/way too greasy.
