The food is excellent. It’s a shame that the experience was marred by poor service. Staff are polite but very slow. We had to wait at the entrance for a short while for someone to show us our table despite the restaurant not being full. Service in general thereafter was very slow: - Asked for starter plates to be cleared, didn’t happen until halfway through mains. - Asked for the bill and had to wait almost 15 minutes for it to arrive. - Asked to takeaway some of the mains, box wasn’t closed properly and leaked across the bag. They offered to replace it but again, took a short while and we had to leave so we left it there. I would understand if the restaurant was packed and some things fell through the cracks but considering it wasn’t full, it definitely wasn’t worth almost the 14% service charge.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at The BoTree Hotel and dining at LAVO on Bond Street, and I must say the experience was truly memorable. The restaurant itself has a great atmosphere, with a stylish yet comfortable setting. The food was very good. Beautifully prepared and flavourful, making it worth the visit. However, what really elevated my experience from good to unforgettable was the exceptional service. The hostess, Prerna, was simply outstanding. From the moment I arrived, she made me feel welcome and at ease. She not only explained the concept of the restaurant and suggested the best dishes from the menu, but also went above and beyond by answering my many questions about London. Her guidance genuinely helped me get around the city better during my stay. Prerna’s warm, helpful nature and genuine hospitality turned a lovely dinner into an amazing overall experience. Without a doubt, she is the reason I’d return to LAVO and recommend it wholeheartedly.
