Assal Patisserie is a home from home for me. I have been going to Assal for over 10 years now and they treat me like Family. Safar has run the cafe for decades and she mixes the best Persian tea I've ever had. People literally fly in to buy her tea blends. Then there are the Persian pastries which are incredibly delicious. Definitely the best Baklava I've tasted in London. Inside the store are lots of Persian supplies that you can take home, as well as the pastries which are baked freshly on site by master Patissiers. They also have amazing Saffron ice cream. Then outside you can sit in the quiet of Connaught village, have some of their amazing tea, pastries and biscuits. Amir also always greets the customers in such friendly way, that you will feel welcome straight away. Safar's friend Homa is also often on hand to welcome guests. Assal is more than a Patisserie and Cafe, its a place where loyal customers return because this place welcomes you like family. I highly recommend Assal, which is a few minutes walk from Marble Arch or Edgware Road, right in the heart of London.
