We visited several pubs in this popular neighborhood before settling on The Raven on a Tuesday night. Our welcome was exuberant. The savory pie section featured 4 styles, of which we had three: chicken and ham, mushroom, and jackfruit with ale. All pies came nested on a bed of mashed potatoes and peas, covered in gravy and crispy onion bits. They were all good. I especially appreciated the jackfruit with ale. There was loud music which made conversations a bit difficult.
