The Pineapple — A Hidden Gem with Real Character Tucked away on a quiet residential street, The Pineapple feels like a secret worth sharing. It’s a proper London pub — no frills, no fuss, just good vibes, great beer, and a loyal local crowd. Drinks: Excellent selection of real ales and craft beers, often rotating. Prices are fair, and the staff know their stuff — friendly, fast, and happy to recommend. Atmosphere: Cosy, welcoming, and full of charm. The back conservatory and garden are perfect for lazy afternoons or lively evenings. It’s the kind of place where strangers become regulars. Food: Pub classics done well — nothing fancy, just tasty and satisfying. Great for a pint and a bite without breaking the bank. Verdict: One of Kentish Town’s best-kept secrets. If you love pubs with soul, skip the high street and head to The Pineapple.

Beautiful pub off the main road in Kentish Town, the walk from the station down narrow roads lined with beautiful houses is a treat in itself. The exterior of the building fits with the local colour scheme as you are struck by the pastel blue paint. Built in 1868 you really feel the history within the walls the moment you walk in. The beer garden is cosy and the conservatory is a nostalgic throwback to colonial times. The staff are friendly, efficient and I was particularly struck by the impeccable service from Oumaima the supervisor on shift. The food was delicious and came in good time, Thai menu, but if you have a vanilla palate, the salads and chips are an option. All in all a solid 10/10. If you haven’t been, what are you waiting for? Considering hosting my birthday party here either in the conservatory or the classy upstairs dining room.
