Extremely beautiful ancient pub. Really comfortable, very beautiful rooms and an amazing and very kind service. Also very good food and beer.

There's an absolutely stunning interior in the main bar, though it's a shame the dining/restaurant room is so bland and modern

We had an excellent stay at the Black Lion. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Chaminda, whose kindness and attention immediately made us feel at home. Our room was beautiful, spacious, and spotlessly clean. The place itself is stunning – a former pub full of charm, with tasteful décor and a unique atmosphere. Breakfast was delicious, even though it wasn’t a traditional English breakfast – everything was fresh and perfectly prepared. A place we highly recommend! Astrid & Olivier
