We’d been meaning to go for ages but it was always booked, we finally made it during the week. It was very quiet but still good atmosphere. The waitress was superb - she had a smile on her face, took no time to take my order (unlike her male counterpart who ignored me at the bar and served someone else that had come after me). She then also brought our food and again, great service from her. Food was good but portions are small for the price. Still, I think that’s all over the area now. The back garden was really nice and comfy. We will be back.

I’ve been a regular customer at the pub for nearly three years, as I live just a two-minute walk away. I usually really enjoy the food – the chicken and bacon wrap at lunchtime is a favourite, and the burger is also very good (especially with added bacon). However, I was quite disappointed with my experience today. I ordered the steak sandwich, which was unfortunately terrible – the meat was tough, completely flavourless, and practically impossible to chew. I also ordered a chicken sandwich for my daughter, which was just about acceptable, but the chicken was clearly dry and tasted as though it had been cooked several days ago. It’s a shame, as I normally enjoy the food here, but today’s meal was well below the usual standard.
