Best meal in London. Every dish was great. Chef gave us the pea recipe, 15 ingredients. Never making it.

I had booked my Sunday lunch almost a year in advance and was very much looking forward to dining at Lore of the Land. It did not disappoint. I started off with a cocktail: pomegranate spicy margarita, perfectly pink and warming hum from the chilli. And a lovely bottle of the Pietra white wine. (To share on the table of course). Myself and my guests all ordered the duo meat roasts, choosing the option of roast belly pork, and slow cooked shoulder and leg of lamb. Everything was cooked to perfection. The crackling on the pork was crunchy, with a good chew to it. The lamb leg and pulled shoulder was beautifully tender. With large perfectly cooked roast potatoes, and all the trimmings (Yorkshire, carrots, peas and stuffing). With gravy, made the proper way, wonderfully silky. I also love that you add your own gravy if you need to. It comes on a boat to your table, so you can add what you need (and always ask for more). The atmosphere was excellent. Although you are in the fully booked dining room on the first floor, it’s not overly loud and the service isn’t rushed. The room itself is lovely and cosy with dark walls with beautifully mysterious artwork. They also have an excellent music playlist faintly playing in the background. It was a superb Sunday lunch. Well done to the team for delivering an absolute stellar service. I hope to book myself another table in future.
