Wanted a traditional Sunday roast and this was it! Everything was roasted (no fancy steamed veg), crispy potatoes, generous portion of meat and veg, lots of gravy. Lovely old pub, service was friendly and efficient. Youngs beer. Would highly recommend off the mass tourist trail. Nice selection of locals and visitors. Good prices.

Love this lovely little nook! This was my second time visiting Fox & Anchor for Sunday roast and it was as memorable as the first. I had the Fox’s Roast this time around. The pork belly was crispy and succulent - my kids were practically fighting over it. The chicken, beef, and sausage ball were all super tasty, and the gravy is not too thick and not too salty - it was delightful. The folks working there were attentive, friendly, and patient with our big group. Will definitely return!

Stopped here for lunch on a Wednesday, only had a hour but that wasn't a problem for the staff. Ordered the steak sandwich from the lunch bar menu, it was delicious! Decent portion, and very tasty and steak was cooked to perfection. Great looking, good old London pub, I've already recommended to friends who are coming up in a week or so. If the sandwich was anything to go by, i expect the rest of the menu would be banging. If you're in the area, give this place a go, you won't be disappointed, proper yummy!
