About

The Chestnut Tree in Palmers Green offers an inviting escape in London's nightlife scene. Known for its buzzing yet laid-back atmosphere, it's an ideal spot to meet up with friends. With budget-friendly pricing-where a night out totals between £10 to £20 per person-you can enjoy a range of options, from well-crafted cocktails to a highly-rated pint of Guinness.

Once called The Wander Inn and The Wishing Well, this spot was reimagined and aptly renamed after a significant refurbishment in 2023. What you'll find now is a revitalized hangout where locals and visitors alike gather to enjoy live sports across multiple screens, a hallmark feature here. Each table features personal screens to ensure everyone has a great view, enhancing the experience on game nights.

The warm hospitality of Ellen and her team invites you in, with their friendly chatter making you feel right at home. Pets are also welcome, adding an even more relaxed vibe. If you visit on a Thursday night, you'll be treated to live music-a perfect backdrop to the merry sounds of clinking glasses during happy hour. Though it's wet-led and doesn't serve food, the drink offerings are ample, covering a wide palette with everything from keg beers to delicate wines.

Whether you're catching up over a game or simply soaking in the casual vibe, The Chestnut Tree promises a genuine and enjoyable experience.

Absolutely brilliant pub. I got this pub recommended to me by a local and I followed his advice. I'm very glad I did. Great staff, friendly locals and unbelievable Guinness. What isn't there to like

I must say new management and they are brilliant! Cruzcampo on tap was a sight to behold and the new manager/bar staff were extremely welcoming which is rare to see these days, great for sports and live music each table has it's own personal screen so so good. The Guinness my Irish friend had said it was the best Guinness he has had since being in England what a compliment. We are back this weekend and can’t wait!

Unbelievable hospitality, make you feel so welcome. Paul, is a saint - what a gent. We came out spontaneously for a little drink and a bite to eat, ended up in here for hours due to the company and staff. Amazing guys, thank you for the hospitality. The Irish stew, was 10/10. Will be back to catch up.
