This pub was the Catford Ram back in the day, a Young's pub. It's now independent. I hadn't been in there for years, which is a shame as I have discovered a gem! I popped in with a friend for a quick drink, just to check it out. It had a relaxed, friendly vibe, a proper local pub with different screens for sports, a pool table and some music. The pool was popular, with customers chalking up their names for the next game. I liked it so much, that I went there on NYE with a friend to check out DJ Betty who was great! Real mix of music - Reggae, Ska, Disco, Motown, 80's/90's. Everyone was genuinely friendly, the bar staff were great, and we had a great dance! Very impressed with the cost of drinks. We had Gordon's Pink gin and tonic, plus a bar snack for just over £11 which I reckon is the cheapest in Catford. I enjoyed the scampi fries- I hadn't eaten a packet in years! We are losing so many pubs, it's great to find one that prides itself on being a proper traditional local boozer that really felt like it reflected the Catford community (important with the more recent gentrification in the area). We will definitely be back. I urge people to check it out. You won't be disappointed. Cheers 🥂
