Called at this pub today in August 2025 only to find it closed which was a big disappointment having cycled down from Greenwich. When it has been open we found it to be a lovely and honest pub, traditional and well kept inside, nice seating area outside by the river, nice service. The food was very good and the selection of beers was good. Doesn’t try to be something it isn’t like other pubs do these days. It is also close to Pirate Studios in Greenwich so for those bands who are rehearsing this pub is only a 10 minute walk away. I hope to see it reopen soon.

Have to wait for 40mins for a single order of a burger with a stale bun—or should I say croutons. Cant believe how you can get wrong with a simple burger.
