Great place, especially in the summer.

A beautiful large swimming pool set in a green lawn with mature shady trees for hot days. Very clean, excellent changing rooms with showers & hairdryers,lifeguards on duty. We visited during a heatwave & the water was surprisingly warm, but have visited previously when the water temperature was quite a challenge.

First time visit so here are my impressions. Lots of lifeguards swapping positions to keep attentive. Poolside seating sunbathing and grassed area with shade trees, but take sandels/sliders as lots of acorns and bits that'll make walking uncomfortable. Some visitors unsociably hog the changing cubicles by leaving bags and towels in them, chuck their things out, they are public spaces. Timed ticketed sessions controls numbers but car parks fill up early so be prepared to park in side streets, do not park on the double yellows you'll be ticketed. Food and ice-cream expensive, but that's what you would expect, however you can bring your own but no glass containers or sharps, your bags are checked on the way in.
