About

The Swiss Glockenspiel in London is a captivating attraction that delights visitors with its enchanting melodies and intricate craftsmanship. Situated in Swiss Court, this ornate marvel boasts 27 shimmering bells, two clocks, and 11 whimsically moving figures, all set against a picturesque Swiss alpine backdrop. Originally hailing from the Swiss Centre, it found its home here in 2011. The music, gracefully composed by students of the Royal Academy of Music, adds a harmonious touch to the experience, as the glockenspiel chimes melodiously every hour. Celebrating Swiss culture and precision engineering, it offers a delightful outing for families, with its accessible entrance ensuring everyone can enjoy its beauty.

A reminder of the Swiss Centre, which opened in 1966. The prominent tower-style building was a commercial and shopping centre with a restaurant. It lost its relevance in the 1990s and was demolished in 2008. The carillon was restored and replaced at this location in 2011.
