Small church much modernised after damage . Nicely set out with modern looking organ loft. Wonderful pocket sized exhibition on the 1647 Putney debates held by the New Model Army’s offers & soldiers, sone of the first recorded accounts concerning democratic representation. Names mentioned include Goffe who fled to America after the collapse of the Interregnum & the coming of the revenge seeking Restoration parliament.

Very sweet architecturally pretty 13th century Catholic church situated on the south side of Putney bridge overlooking the river Thames...not to be confused with All saints Anglican church situated at the other end of the bridge on the Fulham side - apparently the only pair of churches in London! attached is a glass fronted cafe/restaurant which is very airy and bright serving great coffee teas breakfast and brunch all reasonably priced with friendly helpful staff ..there is outside seating on the patio overlooking a courtyard where there is an interesting weekly Saturday market selling delicious cheeses breads a large variety of freshly delivered fish and seafood which is very popular with the locals..the area also hosts a pub and restaurant overlooking the river both with outside seating.. altogether a nice area to relax and get away from the bustle of the high street which is only a stones throw away. . the church has a Sunday service at 10am which is open to the public. yards away across the high street is to the west of the bridge is lower Richmond road with its rowing club beautiful walks along the river and Putney common..
