A nice sculpture

鋼のE判術師

日本でいう表参道の歩道のﾄﾞ真ん中に銅像付きのベンチがあります。銅像の正体はチャーチルとルーズベルトで、いずれもWW2において英国・米国でリーダーシップを発揮して活躍しており、終戦50年の記念で作られたようです。 2人の間はかなり狭く、大人だと窮屈です。ここに座ると、不思議と戦後の日本のあり方や領土返還、天皇制の継続などについて議論したくなります。
