Marx’s remains were moved to this more prominent site in the cemetery. Design: The monument features a large bronze bust of Marx. The pedestal bears the famous inscription: > “Workers of All Lands Unite” (from The Communist Manifesto). It also includes a line from Marx’s Theses on Feuerbach: > “The philosophers have only interpreted the world, in various ways; the point, however, is to change it.” Other Burials: Several members of his family, including his wife Jenny von Westphalen, are also buried there. 📍 Visitor Info: Located in Highgate Cemetery East, Swain’s Lane, London. Beautiful and interesting place.Apart for being the cemetery of famous people ,it is the resting place of the less famous. Amazing funeral architecture in a pastoral setting.Easy to forget that it is located in the hub of a city.
