Shame about the food... The wine of the week (£14.95 per bottle) had an Aldi label on the back - not a problem as Aldi select some great wines but... The steak on the 3 course menu was also unmistakably from Aldi and it wasn't a decent rump. Very thin, less than 3mm thick, asked for medium rare and received medium/well done. The atmosphere was lovely and the service was excellent, they had an obvious new starter as we heard the chef talking to her. It was overpriced for what it was. If the steak had been from a local butcher and then cooked how I asked it would have been 4 stars as the starters were very good.

We spontaneously came by shortly after the opening time. The food was lovely. We had the peppered chicken and the sizzling quorn. The two young ladies serving us were super nice. We would recommend going there.
