The food and the cakes are amazing, would easily be 5 star if I was rating that alone! But please Benjamin Lee, invest in some new, decent and sturdy tables and chairs. Please :-) I've had too many bad experiences now that I can't really justify paying a premium to sit in at such poor quality tables again. It's bringing it down, which is such a shame for the incredibly good food. Almost every time I go, either the seat is dodgy or the table is rocking and broken. Todays table (didn't have a number but I think it's 7), the entire table top has come loose and is rocking/tipping back and forth. Hard to enjoy a coffee when it's close to being spilled when you lean on the table, or press down with your knife and fork to try and eat. Just a bad overall eating experience. I genuinely want to savour the hearty food but the tables are just so irritating. Also, the dessert fork I was given today was so flimsy it bent completely out of shape while I was using it to try and eat a strawberry tart. (I'm 5ft 3in and weigh 59kg so I'm not exactly massive like!) So, please invest in some new and improved tables and I'll be back spending money in no time! (And I'll happily update my review to the 5 stars you deserve) If you didn't know about how dodgy some of the tables are, please go and sit on them and try and eat and drink and you'll see for yourself, cheers

Good food and great service. A large selection of beautifully looking baked goods available. I wish I could have tried more. I was a little surprised that they didn’t heat up the quiche - we’ve never had it served cold before. The pasteries were tasty - I would definitely return to sample other things on the menu. Staff were kind and helpful.
