What a cracking pub . We stayed in Liverpool over the weekend and by far this pub was the best . With a very friendly landlord . We shared the evening with a cricket team who made the karaoke night even better . We will definitely return next time we're in Liverpool

This is a wonderful pub. The signage outside if hilarious and the atmosphere inside if one of warmth and welcome. We were actually staying pretty much opposite here on a recent trip and only on our last night did we decide to venture in (because I'm an idiot). Actually glad we did leave it until our last night though otherwise I doubt we would've bothered to try any other pubs around Liverpool; it really is that good. We were even more lucky to have visited when we did as I gather it will be closing within the next week or so for a major refurbishment. I wish you all the very best with the refurbishment and hope you enjoy lots of success in the next incarnation of this brilliant pub. The cask ales are very well kept and also locally sourced in the case of the beer I enjoyed. They also had some brill bar snacks but as we were en route to a meal I showed tremendous willpower and resisted on this occasion. We can't wait to return.
