This was my first visit, my late Dad who was from "The Dingle" area Liverpool, mentioned numerous times over the years. A lovely place, great history, great service and good atmosphere. I wish I'd visited sooner when in Liverpool.

Will most certainly be back. Hidden away behind the Empire Theatre and Lime Street Station, Ma Edgerton's has a warm the atmosphere and friendly customers. They serve very fresh & tasty snack size pizzas, perfect for when you need to soak up some alcohol. Built in 1846, with a storied history, surrounded by newer buildings, the pub has a feeling of resilience. We hear the term 'proper pub' a lot. It usually refers to traditional furnishings, original fixtures and fittings, period features, Ma Edgerton's has all that. Wooden interior, stained glass, high-ceilings. If you're 20 and want loud electronic music, then it's probably not for you. It still has a good atmosphere and an energy. It was buzzing when we last visited. Check it out now and again. We need to support special places like this so that we don't lose them.
