I was walking through the hills of Estrella/Lapa and my nose picked up the most amazing smell. That alluring scent drew me to this bakery, hidden amongst the houses on the hill. It literally looked like a temple as I walked in, and indeed it is a temple for the most delicious fresh bread I’ve had to date. I felt like I was living in one of these movies of yesteryear where the story is centered on someone dedicated to their culinary craft. Anyways, I’ll skip to the most important part, I got the chocolate bread, Japanese milk bread (similar to brioche), and pumpkin jam. They were absolutely delicious! My family wolfed everything down and wanted more, so we’ll be back soon to check out the other amazing looking baked goods :)
