O Pão da Ribeira é daquelas padarias que nos devolvem a fé na simplicidade bem feita. A montra apresenta alguma diversidade de produtos, é verdade, mas o que mais salta à vista é a qualidade geral — tudo parece pensado, cuidado e feito com mão segura. O pão é, sem dúvida, o grande protagonista: caseiro, de massa leve mas com estrutura e consistência, o tipo de pão que apetece comer só com manteiga ou mergulhar num bom azeite. Tem corpo, mas não pesa. Entre os doces, destaco a nata — que me surpreendeu e me ficou na memória. A base é crocante e finíssima, como se fosse quase uma folha estaladiça. O recheio é um equilíbrio quase perfeito: doce de nata intenso, envolvente, com um leve toque de baunilha que o eleva sem o tornar enjoativo. Lekkere pastel de nata met een goede kop koffie erbij genuttigd op het terras aan de straatkant. Ook de andere patisserie van deze zaak was heerlijk. Prijzen zijn heel redelijk voor een koffiebar in het centrum van Lissabon. Let op, er is geen bediening, je moet zelf aan de toonbank bestellen en bij voorkeur ook cash betalen. Persoonlijk heb ik geen probleem hiermee vermits dit klaar en duidelijk uithangt.
