About

The doors wide open for esteemed guests and the high foot traffic at the "Pod Baranem" restaurant is quite understandable. Its small size, two brotherly fireplaces, and hearty Polish cuisine. Woodworkers made sure to decorate the place with beautiful furniture, and coziness firmly settled in the ancient interior. The enlarged portions are the restaurant's trump card. And who would refuse a honey-glazed duck in marinade or the airy flesh of some unseen game? Lamb with vegetables makes the stomach rumble, and the sunny wine just begs to be poured into a clear glass! It's nice to know that the price level here is always lower than the fountain of flavor experiences.

Me and a friend wanted to try authentic polish Bigos and we came to this place for lunch. The food was amazing, especially the bigos and the fried potatoes. We also had wild boar that was recommended by the waiter. I highly recommend going here for lunch or dinner. The staff was also very accommodating and nice.

Recomanable 100%

Their glutenfree food (most dishes available glutenfree) is superb - and there was no upcharge for GF. My boyfriend and I went there two days in a row when we were travelling through Kraków as we were pointed to it as safe space for GF food. We had super nice dinner, from appetisers, main dishes, to dessert. The staff was very kind and gave us a safe feeling when ordering GF. Really recommending the pierogi. On the menu it says with meat or ruskie style, but you can ask for a mixed plate. Food presentation is through the roof. PS: All desserts are glutenfree. We're looking forward to come back on our next holiday to Kraków.
