Mariinsky Park was established in 1874 on the site of a palace square and a military parade ground. It became a beautiful reflection of the landscape style of past centuries. A.G. Nedzelsky, who was in charge of tree planting and overall design, created a quiet, shady nook, which serves as an ideal place for walks and rest. In addition, the park contains numerous monuments to the victims of the October and January revolutions. For newlyweds, there is the Love Lock Bridge, where couples hang locks with their names on the railings as a symbol of their union.

Для меня Мариинский парк – одно из лучших мест отдыха в Киеве. Люблю прогуливаться вдоль его аллей днем, когда мало людей. Нравится гулять здесь вместе с мужем и вечером. Начинается парк около арки Дружбы народов и заканчивается рядом с Домом офицеров. Здесь немало смотровых площадок, откуда можно полюбоваться видом на Днепр. А еще я обожаю приходить сюда в конце весны, когда в парке все цветет и благоухает.
