Einige Rezensionen ließen Schlimmes befürchten, das können wir (vier erwachsene Besucher zwischen 40 und 73, Besuch Ende März 2025) nicht bestätigen. Zur Kleiderordnung: Normal "Casual" ist angesagt, mit Krawatte war ich schon fast "overdressed". Wer sich allerdings wundert, dass in Shorts der Zutritt verwehrt wird... Zur Freundlichkeit: Es ist normal und gesetzlich vorgeschrieben, dass die Personalien aufgenommen werden und dann die Spielberechtigung in Form einer Card erteilt wird. Beim Automatenspiel muss die Plastikkarte in ein kleines Kästchen neben dem Gerät eingeführt werden. Auf ihr werden auch die Gewinne abgespeichert, der Knopf "Auszahlung" ist bedeutungslos (Stand 3/2025). Die Dame, die die Personalien registrierte, war sachlich freundlich und zudem hilfsbereit. Auch die junge Frau an der Bar machte einen guten Job. Alkoholfreie Getränke waren übrigens gratis. Das Casino öffnete um 19 Uhr, wir waren bereits um 19.30 Uhr da. Es trafen (Samstag) sehr schnell weitere Gäste ein. In einem Raum gibt es Automaten, die mit tschechischen Kronen gefüttert werden, die weiteren Geräte wollen Euro. Geringster Einsatz beim Automatenroulette (leicht verständlich, deutsche Ansagen): 20 Cent. insgesamt 50 Euro eingesetzt, am Ende nach zwei Stunden mit wechselnden Einsätzen 70 Euro gewonnen. Musste nämlich auf meine Frau warten, die am klassischen Roulettetisch (Euro) viel Spaß hatte und nicht, wie beabsichtigt, ihr Geburtstagsgeld verlor, sondern einen Gewinn erspielte. Auch an den Tischen freundliche Mitarbeiter. Nervend nur zwei westdeutsche Bundesbürger, die mit 200-Euro-Scheinen prahlten und versuchten, andere zu belehren. Niedlich hingegen ein junges Paar, das sich den Einsatz geringer Beträge gut überlegte. Ein Glas Bohemia-Sekt an der Bar zum Abschluss eines sehr angenehmen Abends.

I visited the casino at the Grandhotel Pupp around 9 PM on Tuesday evening. There were about 10 guests in total, with most gathered around the roulette table. At the blackjack table, only one person was quietly playing the game. At the entrance, a blonde receptionist asked me, "Shall I follow you? Are you here to play or just to look around?” I told her that I would ask for help if needed and proceeded to explore the casino. The private room used for filming Casino Royale (007) is separate from this area. However, this location was featured in the movie Last Holiday. The roulette table in my attached photo seems to be the one from the film. How about traveling to visit real locations from your favorite movies? I find this moment incredibly enjoyable. Right now, a famous line from the American movie Last Holiday comes to mind: "Next time… will live differently! Never be afraid!”
