About

Iglesia De San Miguel in Jerez de la Frontera stands as a magnificent testament to the confluence of Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque architecture enriched with Spanish flair. The church captivates visitors with its exquisite stone carvings and breathtaking interior, featuring graceful columns and lovely motifs. Its high altar impresses with its gilt decorations and holy imagery, while the artwork enchants with wooden ornaments depicting important biblical scenes. Although the opening times are somewhat unclear and the English explanations could be improved, the overall experience is well worth the 6-euro entrance fee, which includes an informative audio guide. This stunning church, accessible for wheelchair users, is a must-see in Jerez and undoubtedly, one of Spain's treasured architectural gems.

Merece la pena verla porque es una iglesia diferente. La mezcla de estilos, gótico, barroco, etc., es patente, con influencias de maestros portugueses muy características. Destaca también el retablo con esculturas de Martínez Montañés. La visita cuesta seis euros.
