Ermita de Nuestra Señora de Salas in Huesca
About
Ermita De Nuestra Señora De Salas, just a short drive from Huesca, offers a blend of historical and architectural allure. This romantic-style hermitage features a striking alabaster rose window and a charming porch with semicircular arches. The site served a poignant role as a strategic military position during the Civil War, which adds a layer of depth to its already rich narrative. Visitors can admire the beautiful altarpiece inside, while outside, the grounds are perfect for a leisurely picnic among the surrounding orchards. The hermitage is culturally significant, housing the Romanesque Virgin of Salas and receiving mentions in the cantigas of Alfonso X. Precioso lugar

Lamentablemente estaba cerrada cuando llegué. Exteriormente es muy bonita y en una zona agradable de huerta cercana a Huesca. Espero tener más suerte la próxima vez y encontrarla abierta.
