Der Theaternachmittag oder Abend ist im Teil nach der Pause inhaltlich wie musikalisch phantastisch. Der erste Teil weist Schwächen auf. Der Mozartwidersacher Salieri hätte gesagt: Zu viele Buchstaben. Das Wesentliche, Brechts Antibürgertum auf dem Hintergrund der Fuggerstadt Augsburg hätte man präziser herausarbeiten können.
