Ik woon in Den Haag en het is een soort traditie geworden om op de vrijdagavond buitenshuis een toetje te gaan doen. Soms in de buurt een ijsje en een andere keer wat verder weg. Zoekende kwamen we uit op de Dessertbar in Haarlem. Wat een unieke plek! De bar zit onder de trap naar de 1e verdieping, prachtig en rustiek gebruik van de beschikbare ruimte. Op het eerste gezicht een doorsnee Hollands bruin café maar dan zie je de kaart... de meest mooie toetjes! En elk toetje wordt op zijn eigen bordje of schaaltje gepresenteerd door een kok waarvan je ziet dat hij dit met passie doet. Vriendelijk meisje achter de bar en de espresso was heerlijk. M'n zonen hadden een crème brulée van een volwassen formaat en een flensje met ijs, waar een scheut drank overheen ging en geflambeerd werd en ik een choco lava taartpunt met een serieus dikke plak chocola bovenop. Absoluut de moeite waard om 50km voor te rijden en daarna een wandeling over het oude plein. Topavond!
