We visited whilst on a one day visit from a cruise ship. A nice square surrounded by plenty of restaurants and cafes. An attractive fountain with unusual giants as supports.

La Fuente de los Gigantones, también conocida como Fuente de los Gigantes, se erige en la Plaza de Bib Rambla en pleno centro histórico, fue construida a mediados del siglo XVII para el Convento de los Agustinos Calzados, finalmente en 1940 por iniciativa del alcalde Gallego Burín, se reinstaló en su ubicación definitiva en la Plaza de Bib Rambla. Fabricada en piedra gris de Sierra Elvira con detalles en mármol blanco, consta de dos pilas circulares superpuestas y culmina en una escultura de Neptuno ¬con tridente. Su nombre proviene de los gigantones que sostienen la primera pila, figuras que algunos estudios interpretan como símbolo religioso.
