Gothenburg

A panoramic view of the city's colorful rooftops opens up from the terraces around Skansen Kronan. The fortress tower, dating back to the 16th century, has walls 5 meters thick. Below lies the popular tourist district of Haga, with cafés and shops. Admire the stained glass windows in Hagakyrkan Church. Stroll down Vasagatan Boulevard to the main University building. Walk through the alleys of the Royal Park and cross the canal over one of the bridges.

Relax at the square by the Cathedral, visit the City Museum, and head to the harbor. Here you will find the War Museum and the Opera House. Enjoy views of Gothenburg while taking a ferry ride across the harbor. Visit the fishing villages of the Gothenburg Archipelago. The most beautiful beaches are on the island of Styrsö.

The Heden district has a high concentration of attractions: the Scandinavium concert hall, and the trade and exhibition center. Spectacular views of the city can be enjoyed at the spa and restaurant of the Gothia Towers complex. At the Universeum science museum, you can walk through a rainforest, visit an aquarium, explore fascinating exhibitions, and see Sweden's largest 3D visualization dome, Wisdome.

During the Easter holidays, all attractions of one of Europe's largest amusement parks, Liseberg, open up. The park often hosts concerts by world-famous pop and rock music stars. An impressive Scandinavian collection is presented at the Museum of Art.
