I joined the Behind the Scenes Tour and really enjoyed it. Booking was a bit tricky as my email wasn’t answered, but calling worked fine. The tour itself felt flexible and interactive, without a fixed route. It was great to see objects you wouldn’t usually find on display. Overall a good experience.

Absolute treat. Visited on an hour long tour. Saw various pods with items in. Armour. Vehicles. Egyptian items. World Culture, etc. Fascinating and the guide is very knowledgeable. Specialist tours are available throughout the year. And you can book and request to see certain items. A hidden Glasgow gem.

Miss the old transport museum? The smell and stuff you remember is all here. Particular taxidermy animal from childhood no longer at Kelvingrove? Favourite painting gone from the People's Palace? Ask the guide at the start of your tour or email beforehand and they'll show it to you if they can. Went on the behind the scenes tour, was excellent, very informative. A true hidden gem, tours must be booked beforehand but they are free. Will tailor the tour to your interests if you say at the start. Amazing place, extremely knowledgeable guides, will definitely visit again.
