About

Nestled in the heart of Gdańsk on the bustling Dluga street, Dwór Artusa. Oddział Muzeum Gdańska stands as a testament to rich history and architectural resilience. Originally opened in 1350 and shaped by the vision of architect Abraham van den Blocke, this imposing building once served as a meeting place for aristocrats and wealthy merchants, functioning as a courthouse, reception hall, and the seat of the Corn Exchange. Despite suffering immense damage during wartime, the beautifully renovated structure now welcomes visitors to explore its storied past.

This museum, with an impressive average Google rating of 4.6, offers an insightful glance into old Gdańsk and the rigorous restoration efforts that followed its near destruction. Suitable for children, it provides an engaging experience for families, with a visit duration of about 30 minutes. Entry is reasonably priced at around 5 Euros, and there's even free admission on Mondays. For anyone with an interest in history or architecture, Dwór Artusa is a must-visit, offering both educational value and an iconic glimpse into the city's resilience during World War II.
