New Landlord and Landlady recently. They have kept the tradition going of good pub food at competitive prices. Great friendly staff across the board. Plus some new activities and theme nights. Good selection of beers/ciders , some new South African wines. I see recently Kev Hill local expert was disappointed but didn’t have the decency to chat to the Landlord just left a review and invented a new word Grissel? I found no Gristle in my meat at all. Glad you won’t be back Kev 😘 All you could want from a village pub, and dog friendly, but I’m probably biased as I live in the village. Well done Angie and John and the team.

A delightful, welcoming country pub. We had a group booking of 8 for dinner, the food was delicious, the service was exceptional, and the atmosphere warm and inviting. The landlord made time to chat to the patrons, whilst the waiting staff were attentive and efficient. My steak was cooked to perfection , succulent and tasty. The atmosphere was, as you would expect in a popular pub in the heart of a Devon village with a good attendance of locals. Definitely worth 5 stars, we will most certainly be returning.
