Can’t comment on the rooms as I only called in for a beer and a sandwich. Was lovely.

We have known this pub all our lives. It is great to see it back in its former glory after some years either shut or badly run Truely rustic, friendly, with great food and beer and wine in the lovely village of Drewsteignton. Lovely just sitting in the village Square after along and hilly bike ride from Exeter.

After the long tenure of Mabel Mudge, the grand dame of this wonderful village pub, the community now are caretakers and know what a decent pub should be. Serving Otter and Exeter ales and Devon ciders, decent lunches and evening meals, the people helping and serving locally couldn't be better. They also offer clean bunkhouse so you can rest your head. Local church also offers little shop wares and eggs. Worth a visit and can be accessed by bus.
