If I could give this place 100 stars I would. As soon as I entered I felt so safe and seen. As a bisexual nonbinary person seeing all the flags and decorations made me so happy. The cafe was incredible. Again as soon as I went upstairs I saw cosy blankets on the seats IKEA sharks, the big board of afromatiins and the worker there was so kind. I wish we had this kind of place in Cambridge. Thank you so much over the rainbow cafe for making me feel so safe and seen. Your changing lives. ❤️❤️

Went on the low sensory day, and it was such a calm and accommodating environment. Everyone was so lovely and understanding. Me and my partner felt very safe in this cafe and would highly recommend to anyone whether you're LGBT+, neurodivergent or just need a calm space. The cakes were incredible and I would highly recommend them! The other food options weren't anything crazy but did the job of filling us up. Overall Id recommend this place more so for the community, safeness and inclusivity rather than just on the merits of food that you could find at any cafe. This place offers something entirely unique and I am so glad I was able to visit during my time in York.
